Brinzolamide 0.1% w/v ophthalmic solution is used to lower increased pressure within the eye in conditions such as ocular hypertension and open-angle glaucoma. It works by inhibiting carbonic anhydrase, an enzyme involved in the formation of aqueous humor, thereby reducing fluid production and helping to protect the optic nerve from damage.
