Etodolac tablets, capsules, and extended-release (long-acting) tablets are used to relieve pain, tenderness, swelling, and stiffness caused by osteoarthritis (arthritis caused by a breakdown of the lining of the joints) and rheumatoid arthritis (arthritis caused by swelling of the lining of the joints).Etodolac is used for pain relief. It relieves pain and inflammation in conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.Etodolac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).Etodolac is used to treat mild to moderate pain in osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
